How Beautiful upon the mountains

Go now into all the world

The Gospel must be preached

For sitting down and reading books

The lost will ne’er be reached.

The Gospel’s gone to all the world

We’ve sailed the seas to tell

The heathen masses of God’s love

But what of Israel?

Beginning at Jerusalem

This was our Lord’s command.

To Judah and to Galilee

Upheld by His great Hand.

But we’ve been frightened to go out

Indifferent, dead and cold.

We’re nothing like the early church

On fire, live and bold

“Yad l’Achim* have brainwashed us

That no one wants to know.

They tell us that Moses we undermine

And should pack up our bags and go.

But the Spirit of God is brooding now

All over this ancient Land;

The hearts of the people are being prepared

For a move of His mighty Hand

The stony hearts He’ll take away

And hearts of flesh He’ll give.

He’ll put His Spirit within our hearts

And the old dry bones will live.

So rise from your slumbers, children of God,

Go forth and fight the foe.

If we don’t tell them who Yeshua is

How will the people know?

How beautiful upon the streets

The feet of them that tell

Glad tidings to this ancient Race

Good news to Israel.

Behold your King, Messiah, Lord

Is standing at the door.

The crucified and risen One

Will reign forever more.

He comes His people to redeem

From bondage to set free.

Jerusalem will be His throne

Throughout eternity.

So courage, brothers, don’t lose heart!

Though hard the way and long,

This desert will blossom as the rose,

The mountains break into song.

Lo from the North and West they’ll come

In the East God’s Light will shine.

Jerusalem will shout for joy

“This people will be mine.”

The veil that is upon their hearts

The Lord will take away.

And looking to the Pierced One

Their night will turn to day.

So beginning at Jerusalem

Judah, Shomron as well

In Galilee and the Negev too

Go forth of Him to tell.
